Big Picture Australia visits Launceston
August 22, 2017

We met with Viv White from Big Picture Australia to discuss the possibility of developing a Big Picture primary school. There are just a few examples in Australia at the moment but we could see how Big Pictures philosophies seemed consistent with our own. We like the focus on personalised learning, families and communities, project based learning and leaving the campus to learn. It also highlights the importance of professional development and life long learning for all our people, not just the younger variety.
Our discussions included learning that Big Picture are currently developing a Primary School Framework for the Australian Curriculum, and that several other independent secular schools are also exploring this option.
We believe we would be more robust and professional when partnered with leading educational organisations such as this one,and will be continuing to explore how we can work together to bring you 'a learning adventure' with strong foundations in 2019.
